| Well guys, the time has finally come... I'm going over to MySpace... It seems every man and his dog is on there, and as I'm so easily persuaded, I'm going to convert as well!! Muahah! I may check in on this blog every now and then, but essentially www.myspace.com/revival_sounds will be the new place to check up on me. If you're on MySpace then add me and come and say hello! If you're not on MySpace and you've been wondering why its a little quiet in the world of Xanga... we you clearly need to register and come join in the fun too! Now all I have to do is find out how to use MySpace! JULIEE! HELP! Byyeeee! x | | |

| Greetings... cor its been a while... hope you're all doing well!?
I'm currently being tempted and lured into the world of Myspace so at some point when I get set up I'll let you know the details!!! But I won't tell you who's manipulating me... they know who they are!!! Anyways! Sooo, the weekend - awesome stuff! RFC had their Christmas service and it was fantastic! There's been soooo much hard work put into the planning and execution of this service, so many people working hard behind the scenes, the unsung hero's if you like. It's yet another example of what this church can do when it pulls together. It couldn't have been pulled off unless people stepped up like they did - so to everyone, MASSIVE THANK Q's. xXx Feedback has been excellent so far - Jasmine's parents came along and really enjoyed it which is great given that they're not 'churchy people'... I thought the band did really well, so nice to have Grant and John Tat at our disposal... they made a big difference. And as for Bex and the choir! Top effort... "We've come to praise You" was definitely one of my highlights of the evening. Oh and the in-ear fold back... man, I don't care if that system costs ?00 - Mr Horne needs to buy if for me! Do you think if I say "pretty please" he'll cough up!? Ahem... you're probably right... On a personal level I'm glad the intro video came together on Saturday afternoon perfectly in time for the Sunday service... it was only 2 minutes long but it was flipping complicated! haha. Still, Sitho's voice-over was awesome, he sounded pretty Hollywood if you ask me, and so I was pleased with the results... might see if I can put a copy up on the web for all to see...hmmm....now there's an idea... hehe. So, now that's all over I can officially chill... LOL. Also, I've now moved jobs so no longer working in London (yay) and no more trains (yay). I'm only a mile from my house and loving every second (yay). So that puts me on the run down to Chrimbo (also a yay). Weird thing is I arrived perfectly in time for 3 Christmas parties! Result! haha. (YAY YAY YAY) Ok I'm all Yay'd out now. Peace. Burty x
| Its only Tuesday... man I feel tired... its probably got something to do with going down the church office at 11pm last night to record a voice over of Isaiah 9 for the Christmas concert video I'm doing. That and also playing computer games to the early hours of the morning... kinda lost track of time and then Jas shouted at me haha. And rightly too, it was 2.00am... DOH! So anyway, 56 working hours left before I depart Network Rail... not counting, honest... haha. Can't wait if I'm honest... got an exit interview today and I've already had to fill out a questionnaire detailing my reasons for leaving and the things and people that may have contributed to me going... never easy as I don't want to be overly harsh, but equally there are very real reasons for me wanting to go and there are individuals that have contributed to the decision! I guess on the other hand there's a real sense that God's hand is on my life and actually he's allowed me to walk this path and now he's moving me on, so do I really need to say anything negative at all?! Probably not! Grace is probably the order of the day, but I'm not going to pretend that will be easy! So church stuff is still floating my boat... I guess the main reason for this is God is still doing amazing things in my life and in the lives of those around me... when you see that regularly its a constant reminder that God is good, God is real, God is willing and able, and subsequently He's worthy of our very best, our full attention and all of our worship. Of course I give Him that every day without fail... *COUGH COUGH* Haha. Seriously, I find His grace amazing, and His love so very real - and when you realise that He is passionate about us and commited to working out His amazing plans in us and through us here in Reading, it kind of blows your mind - you ever had one of those moments when you just stop? Why me?! Why us!? What a privildge... So in the same way I feel God challenging me to lay dow my selfish ambitions, wants, and needs, let me exhort you all to give God your very best, to love His church as Christ loved the church and to embrace all that God has for you in your life and of those around you. Ciao for now...x | | |
| We get all sorts of people coming through Paddington Station during the week... occassionally I get the camera phone out in the vague hope of catching someone interesting... It was Princess Anne yesterday...
But as you can see their reflective windows stopped me from getting the shot... very clever... But today, the person I actually managed to get a photo of was Mr Blair himself... as I said, occassionaly we get someone interesting through the station, but alas today it was not to be hahaha...
He stood there for second and I shouted "well smile then..." as he looked so depressed haha. Got a smile out of him and my colleagues found it vaguely ammusing hehe. Oh the fun...
